If My Fist Could Speak
by Flor
If my fist could speak, it would tell you
how many times I've beat people up.
If my feet could speak, they would tell you
where I have walked and where I have fallen.
If my ears could speak, they would tell you
all of the @#$% I've heard.
If my eyes could speak, they would tell you
all of the beautiful things and crappy things
they have seen.
If my heart could speak, it would tell you
how many beautiful and painful and hateful things
it has felt.
If my legs could talk, they would tell you
how much clothing I've put on
and how many hands have touched me.
If my teeth could speak, they would tell you
what they have bitten and tasted
and how many times I've fallen.
If my lips could speak, they would tell you
how many times they've kissed and have been pierced
and how many flavors of lip-gloss they've tasted.
If my back could speak, it would tell you
how many punches it has withstood.
