Pongo runs poetry readings every year to wrap up our projects at the detention center and psychiatric hospital sites. These readings include not only wonderful readings by youth, but guest artists and staff as well. We have enthusiastic audiences that include judges and the director of detention, and also the medical director and CEO of the psychiatric hospital. But we can't share photos here because we need to protect the confidentiality of the youth.

In the community, Pongo stages readings by our volunteers, during which they read youth poetry and also their own poetry, written in response to the work and the teens' difficult stories. Here are some photos from our community readings...

We would love to hear from you!
And we can help you find your poem.
