by "T.P.", age 14, in Friends program

I go through life feeling blank.
I turn around because I hear a clank.
Someone fell, I laugh and joke, but inside I feel nothing.
I go to class and sometimes I do work,
then again, other times I am a jerk.
The teachers hand me my F's, but I smile,
because inside I feel nothing.
After school I use reading to escape.
Sometimes in my dreams I wear a cape.
But then, I come back, and realize,
that inside, I feel nothing.
