Walk One Mile in My Shoes (my LGBT life)
by Midnight

I want you to walk one mile,
Just one, in my shoes.
I want you to see how you can hurt me,
I want you to see what goes on behind my masks.

I want you to know what it’s like,
To be walked on, dumped upon, and laughed at.
I want you to know how I feel,
When you laugh at me, and call me names.
I want you to know who I am,
Inside, for you claim to know the outside.

I want you to walk one mile,
Just one, in my shoes.
I want you to see what happens when I stumble,
I want you to see what goes on in my life.

I want you to feel what I feel,
When you break your promises.
I want you to love
The people that I love.
I want you to feel my pain,
When you hurt me so.

I want you to walk one mile,
Just one, in my shoes.
