See What Goes On Behind My Masks
This is a collection of writing by lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual, and questioning youth at Lambert House, a resource and activities center serving these young people in Seattle, Washington.
Sexual minority youth face many challenges to their safety and self-esteem - challenges such as conflict at home and abuse at school. These challenges sometimes lead to other problems, including homelessness, substance abuse, and depression. On the other hand, one of the great strengths of these youth is their desire to be understood for who they are. Please read the sample poems and book Preface below.
This is Pongo Publishing's eighth youth publication, printed March 2003.
