Lost Memories

by Ron ( age 17)

My dad was like a scorpion
Because he didn’t think twice.
It was like I wasn’t even there.
He would come home, break things,
Yell, fight, or not come home at all.

My mom was like a snake.
She ran away from problems.
I wondered if she cared because
I never heard from her when she
Disappeared.

And I was fighting out the anger like a bull.
I didn’t know what to do
But follow in my Dad’s footsteps,
Waiting until I heard from Mom again,
Lost, lonely, depressed.
