Performance at Mission Creek Corrections Ctr, May 7 & 8

These performances are the culmination of choreographer Pat Graney's "Keeping the Faith" project for incarcerated women, 2010. Richard Gold worked with the women on their poetry, which is an integral part of the performance. Email for more information Richard@pongoteenwriting.org .

Workshop for Counselors and Teachers in Pongo Techniques, May 15

Richard Gold is offering a one-day workshop in Pongo's approach and techniques for teaching writing to distressed teens. Richard will also offer a free consultation to any agency that participates, to help you start your own teen poetry group. Here is a link to more information.

Pongo at Northwest Folklife Festival, May 28-31

Pongo is a sponsor of the Vera Stage. Richard and volunteers will host a table outside the stage, where we will show you Pongo books and talk about our project. There will also be a reading of Pongo poetry on Saturday, May 29, at Folklife on the Narrative Stage.
