You Hurt Me
by a young woman, age 16You hurt me twice
You brought me down
You used me like a dirty rag
Now I’m hurt
You laugh and laugh
And call me names I don’t deserve
You said you cared
You said you loved me
Now you treat me like old toys
I gave you my heart
I gave you my soul
I gave you everything in mind
You bought my soul
You used me twice
And you always say you’re sorry
But if you cared
You wouldn’t do the things you do
Over and over and over again
But still I care
I still love you
People ask me “Why?”
Because you were always there for me
You made me the person I am today
We made it though struggles side by side
It made me stronger
You hurt me twice
You brought me down
You used me like a dirty rag
