A Special Poem for Pongo's Fans

Many times in our Pongo work, we use poetry in a wonderful way, but to deal with difficult experiences and times of distress. This is a serious purpose, yet it has its own level of distress for those who read, witness, and support our work. Our authors' strengths and joys are more rich than our work sometimes reflects. Here is a terrific poem that has a lighter touch...

The Love of My Life
by a young woman in juvenile detention, age 13

We’ve got a retarded Bordeaux bulldog from the military that sleeps on top of his dog house in the rain.  He drools a lot, has paws the size of my palms, knocks down the garbage can to eat, and chewed up my house arrest ankle monitor.

But he’s my baby.

We would love to hear from you!
And we can help you find your poem.
