Assumptions
by a child in Friends programSo maybe sometimes I throw tantrums
Don't assume that I'm out of control
Don't assume that my mother can't handle me
Don't assume that I always act like that
Don't assume that I'm always in trouble
So maybe sometimes I hit my siblings
Don't assume that I don't love them
Don't assume that my parents don't care
Don't assume that they don't fight back
So maybe sometimes I cry
Don't assume that I'm dramatic
Don't assume that it's for no reason
Don't assume that I want someone to
come and talk to me
Assume that I throw tantrums because I don't
have another way to express my feelings
Assume that I hit my siblings because the anger
in me just comes out that way
Assume that I cry because of what happened to
me or others in my life
